On Identity

I enjoy many things, but to list them is to imply said list is either complete or comprehensive. While this may be possible, I reject the notion that I can know each facet of myself; that if asked tomorrow I would not have a different answer.

The Trackpad

One unusual thing about me: I play many games using only a trackpad and do not use a mouse. This is in no way unique, but it is often surprising to people when they find out. I have learned to use a mouse in many contexts mostly through practice, and while I could learn to master a mouse, the convenience of a laptop is hard to beat.

Lifegoals

For me the key to life is empathy. If we cannot be empathetic then what right do we have to demand the respect or dignity that others provide us? Personally I think the most important part of life is going beyond what is expected and doing things for others. While I alone cannot change or build a system that cares for all people within its perview, I can do my best to encourage the system towards caring love, universal dignity, and altruistic kindness.
